Pattaya Gay Festival donation to Ban Bung Juvenile Training Centre
20 December 2007

Pattaya Gay Festival recently funded a project to bring badly needed computers and musical instruments to the Ban Bung Juvenile Correctional Home located just outside of Pattaya. The project was the brain child of Jim Lumsden who, when visiting the home on a welfare visit with members of the Rotary Club of Thaksin Pattaya, realized just how little equipment it had to help rehabilitate the boys into society.
As a result of that visit the PGF committee backed the purchase of 6 computer sets and some musical instruments for the young men. These were duly delivered just before Christmas and at the official handover by Steve Dickens on behalf of PGF they were received enthusiastically by the young men and staff. Due to a prior engagement Jim unfortunately could not attend on the day itself.
With typical foresight PGF donated not only the PC sets, but also a full years onsite maintenance by Liberty Computers should any problems arise. We hope that this gift will enable the guys to learn new and useful skills for when they are released.
